This project utilizes a contemporary interior design concept, whereby sleek surfaces, crisp furnishings, and cutting-edge art are the key elements. These elements are combined with modern furniture which balance warmth and minimalism, thus providing a fresh and dazzling effect to the overall aesthetic.
On the other hand, timber paneling produces outstanding results, especially when used as walls for the living room. It provides a reliable, secure, and comfortable ambience to the space.
The living room should be a place where you can relax and entertain, regardless of its size.
Contrary to common belief, a small living room can be inviting and comfortable too. You simply have to choose the right colour, scale, and weight that can maximize the light and space. This will make the area look more spacious and roomier than it actually is.
With the right furnishings, you can transform your living room from a cramped and claustrophobic space into one that feels cozy and visually-pleasing.
Contemporary interior design emphasizes simplicity and cleanliness. The layout usually focuses on maximizing the usage of space through well-placed and detailed designs.
Therefore, if you want to include a piece of storage furniture but are concerned that it might spoil the overall aesthetic and balance, then a clean and uncomplicated line storage furniture is a recommended addition.
Using movie posters as decorations is a simple yet effective way to relive the Hollywood magic in your living area. It also gives a fun touch to your décor. You may want to consider investing in a home theater system as well to emulate a movie-theatre experience.
At Ataz Haus, we believe that every season has its own benefits yet can have different effects on your mood. Therefore, you can consider decorating your home with beautiful wallpapers that reflect your favourite season as this can ensure that you are always in a good mood.
One of the most commonly used materials – both in architecture and interior design – is wood. If wood is used in the right manner, it can completely transform a space to a whole new level.
Colourful furniture can be utilized to add life and warmth to a space. This simple addition adds comfort and just the right splash of colour to brighten up an area effectively.
After living in Shanghai for seven years, this cosmopolitan couple faced the daunting task of re-homing their belongings into a much smaller mansionette in Singapore.
They owned an eclectic collection of art and furniture, which they wanted to tastefully blend into a contemporary setting.
As one of our most unusual projects, we spent extra effort coordinating the design, material selection and construction with the client while they were still overseas.
When designing a home, additional storage areas are often overlooked for more exciting features. However, this seemingly unimportant attribute can make or break your quality of living once the home is completed. Having storage areas prevents your home from being messy and cluttered, thus ruining the ambience of the space. That is why when Ataz Haus designs a home, storage and your quality of life is always taken into consideration.
Not only can built-in storage spaces blend in with the walls, they can also double as decorative features. Nevertheless, it is highly satisfying to see your stuff disappearing behind smooth doors or slotted into perfectly-designed storage spaces.
If you're looking for a material theme that exhibits both vibrance and warmth, the classic combination of light wood and white is always a failproof choice. But what about accent colours? This post looks at two homes that pair their wood-heavy interiors with pastel accents to create a comfortable springtime ambience.
Combining a wooden accent with a pastel colour scheme will create a cozy and warm atmosphere. Besides that, the concept also makes your residence look modern without being overcomplicated.
Love staying in a luxurious hotel? Rather than staying in one, design your home to resemble a 5-star hotel instead! Ataz Haus creates the same vibe and atmosphere that attracts you to stay in a hotel, creating an ambience that is welcoming and relaxing which allows homeowners to feel devoid of any worries.
Arabian-themed design concepts are often found in Muslim homes and institutions. This style of interior design is known for adding a luxurious and elegant appeal to the overall aesthetics.
Arabian-inspired design concepts typically feature Islamic motifs, mosaic artwork, and inscriptions of the Arabic calligraphy. Other common elements also include polestar art, pottery, woodcraft, and luxurious materials such as ivory, marble, etc.

By using colours based on nature, you are able to create a welcoming and comfortable environment in your living space without sacrificing modern elegance. For example, to make sure that a room does not look too dark, choose to use light-coloured wooden floors.
Furthermore, colour combinations comprising of turquoise brown, cream, and brown-orange brown are the rage nowadays. This is because brown can also be paired well with gray and both these colours give off a cold and neutral feel, which is very popular in modern design concepts.
There’s just something chic and cool about a home that features white and wood as its main theme. Sure, it is a simple idea but one that really speaks volume! White lends an airy feel that opens up your space while wood gives it an overall elegant and homely touch.
One advantage that the white-and-wood design concept offers is that it instantly brightens up your home, making the space look more spacious than it really is. Opt for lighter shades of wood – like the ones in the images – to give the space a modern look. Complement the concept with minimalistic furnishing for a simple yet elegant finish.
The false ceiling – equipped with hidden light fixtures – used in the living room gives this space a contemporary look that befits a modern home. The backlit TV feature wall acts as a central focal point for the space, immediately drawing visual attention with its grandeur appearance.
Dark and earthy tones are also utilised to create a warm and cosy ambience throughout the home. The colourful posters add a vibrant pop of colour without going over the top.
The living room is the main space that guests see when they step into a home, therefore it should be designed to impress. The off-white shades give this living room a bright and welcoming ambience. The living room also features minimal furniture and furnishings to make the space appear bigger and more spacious.
As for the bedrooms, earthy tones like brown and gray are used abundantly to create a cosy environment which promotes rest and relaxation. The elaborate paintings provide the perfect finishing touches to complete the modern-concept bedrooms.

EcoParadise is a sports therapy treatment centre which has been in operations in Singapore for more than 10 years. Their newest outlet, situated near Aljunied MRT station features a Modern Muji theme, a tribute to the centre's Japanese origins. Moreover, the design also focuses on incorporating natural elements to create a soothing and zen ambience. Modern furniture and decor were also added to create a young vibe that will appeal to the younger crowd.
The generous usage of wooden furniture, neutral palettes, and earthy tones gives this home a warm and inviting ambience. The pendant lights used throughout the home adds to the classy and contemporary vibe of the home. Furniture and décor are kept to the bare minimum, maximising usable space while preventing unnecessary distractions and noise.
Dark tones are used to provide contrast to the lighter shades in their surroundings, providing balance and depth to the entire home – enabling the home to appear bigger and more spacious. The brilliant usage of shelves and cabinets brings added functionality and practicality to every part of the home.
